Good to drive, refined engine, plenty of cabin space, slick paddleshift system.
Third row seats only for occasional use, thirsty.
C-Crosser is likeable and looks the part, but it's far from perfect.

This 2.4-litre petrol-powered Citroen C-Crosser is already in danger of looking like a dinosaur.
Large petrol-engined SUVs aren't the flavour of the month - or even the decade. Anyone who chooses to shell out £20k+ of their hard-earned cash on this rather imprudent seven-seater is looking at crazy running costs, anti-4x4 hatred and a middle-of-the-road badge.
It will still appeal to some, however, and they'll have the choice of two trim levels: the five-speed manual VTR and the Exclusiv, which comes with a CVT auto unit. The VTR is priced at a very competitive £19,995 but the Exclusive isn't cheap at £25,195.
But does a petrol C-Crosser make any kind of sense when there's a perfectly capable 2.2-litre diesel in the line-up? Read on to find out...
