Infiniti G37 Coupe Review

Overview3 out of 5

Forever trying to sex things up, car manufacturers often claim even the most ordinary looking car has a 'sporty' look. Thankfully, Infiniti has resisted the urge to use the word to describe the new G37 Coupe, opting instead for 'stunning, uncompromised styling'.

But the G37 looks genuinely sporty. At a glance it's a cross-between a Nissan 350Z and a Lexus SC 430, and that alone should make it a bona fide performance car.

The £31,500 G37 is a rear-wheel-drive two-door coupe with four seats, but the limited space in the rear makes it more of a two-seater. It has a high-performing 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine under the bonnet and Infiniti claim it's a direct competitor to the BMW 330i.

But is it talented enough to take on the BMW? It looks the part and has the right engine under the bonnet, but does it have the driving dynamics to give the Germans a run for their money?
