'Cowell takes a shine to Cole'

X-Factor judge Louis Walsh reckons Simon Cowell has taken a shine to new arrival Cheryl Cole.

The Girl's Aloud star has joined Walsh, Cowell and Dannii Minogue on the panel of the hit ITV1 show.

Former judge Sharon Osbourne quit last year amid a public row with Minogue and was replaced by Cole.

Walsh, 56, said of Cowell: "He definitely flirted with Dannii throughout last year's series.

"But he seems to have moved on. He's flirting with Cheryl this year."

Walsh said of the show: "I think it can go for a few more years. As long as the public want it and we get the talent through the door, and as long as we get the figures."
