Obama might be winning hearts in Denver, but what about the rednecks of the Appalachians? can Barack bring them in from the cold? More4 News reports.

The seven states of the Appalachian mountain region, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Arkansas, have voted Republican in every presidential election since 1996.

And in most of these states Hillary Clinton easily beat Barack Obama in the Democratic primaries.

Whether you call the historic culture of the area, redneck, hillbilly or Scots-Irish, is it time Obama hit the Appalachian trail?
